Pre-order your roll, skip the till.
For EFA's petrol-station bistros I built a complete pre-ordering system: customers pick their station, order snacks and coffee, pay online and collect at their chosen time. At the table, a QR code is enough.
The brief
During the morning rush, petrol-station bistros get long queues at the till — commuters want their roll and coffee but not a five-minute wait. Guests at tables also needed to order without adding legwork for the staff.
The solution
- 01Per-station pre-ordering with pickup time, opening hours and directions
- 02Online payment via PayPal or card — orders reach the station only after successful payment
- 03QR codes per table, exportable as PNG, SVG or print-ready table cards (PDF, four per A4 with crop marks)
- 04Admin panel: products, categories, options & extras, stations, tables, orders, print status, user permissions and audit log
- 05Sound alerts for new pre-orders and a mobile order dashboard for staff
Outcome
One system for several stations in Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden — customers order ahead or at the table, the team sees everything live in one place.
