NEXORA is an open-source workspace for projects, priorities and team delivery that you run on your own infrastructure: organizations, projects, numbered issues, roles and a roadmap, shipped with Docker Compose.
The brief
Many teams don't want to keep their project data with a third-party SaaS vendor, but still need a modern, fast tool for issues and roadmaps. Goal: a tool you can self-host with one command, and that is secure.
The solution
- 01TypeScript monorepo with Next.js 16 (web) and NestJS (API)
- 02PostgreSQL 17 and Prisma 7 for the data layer
- 03Database-backed sessions in HttpOnly cookies plus request-origin validation
- 04SMTP for production, optional Mailpit for testing email locally
- 05Shipped with Docker Compose and Caddy, tested with Vitest
Outcome
Public on GitHub under Apache-2.0. Self-hosting and the documented features work; comments, labels and notifications are in progress.
